Asparagus Brie Galette

This is delicious and super fast. Its the perfect side dish if you like a flaky golden buttery crust to accompany your vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Asparagus

  • Puff Pastry (thawed)

  • Brie (cut into 1 inch cubes)

  • Shredded Parmesan cheese (optional)

  • Olive oil (1 to 1 tsp)

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

  • Garlic powder

Preparation

  1. Preheat over to 400 degrees

  2. Toss Asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder

  3. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray and lay puff pastry flat

  4. Lay asparagus on puff pastry and dot with cubes of brie

  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese

  6. Fold the four sides up slightly to create a small frame around the asparagus

  7. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes

Tips

This could be cut into pieces and served as an appetizer but I typically make it as a side dish. Its flaky, delicious and simple. You can do an egg wash on the edges of the puff pastry but its just extra work as far as I'm concerned. Feel Free though if you want the edges to look super shiny.
